Sure, it’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything – but that doesn’t mean I don’t think about it every day.
You know what else I think about (almost) every day?
Mateo’s salsa.

So here’s me, minding my own beeswax while the wife was out of town. I head into Sam’s Club ’cause I’m going to make me some killer food on the Blackstone. Not that I don’t cook for her, but I tend to spoil myself to make up for her not being around.
I go to grab some rice in pouches, Uncle Ben’s or Seeds of Change. And Lo and Behold! Right behind me, hidden at the end of some aisle with what seems like random shit on it, is a two-pack of Mateo’s Medium salsa.
Now, in your life, this might not be a big deal – but for me? It was a Sunday, and I thanked the Lord on high for his wisdom in getting Mateo’s and Sam’s Club together.
And I’m not just excited for the find. I’m excited for the find AND the deal – 46 oz of Mateo’s for under $10.
But wait, there’s more….salsa
There was evidence of a difficult time sitting in this lonely Edmond Sam’s Club (I’m in OK these days). There was a lone jar of a different style of Mateo’s. That’s right, two types of Mateo’s were now in scope at Sam’s Club. This baby was sitting all by his lonesome. For only $5. 32oz of medium Mateo’s for $5? I thought I was having a stroke.
Needless to say, I bought about $30 in salsa that fine day. It looks like the bigger jar is no longer, but I’ve still seen the yellow two-pack at Sam’s Club as recently as this weekend.
Bravo, Sam’s. Bravo Mateos. Much love from me to you both.
Oh, and if you know not of what I speak, and you even mildly like salsa, you need to run right out and get some. My review on the Hatch salsa is here – it’s still my favorite, but it’s pricey.
